We believe that this pen is made from some type of lightweight wood. When held in the right light at the right angle, some grain can be seen but overall, it is very dark. We did polish this 100%, but some spots would not hold the shine so there are what look like scuff marks or missed spots, but we assure that we did polish it fully. This sometimes happens with wooden blanks.

The 3d printed articulated DP Pet will be random, there are more possibilities than what is shown in the photo.
